چکیده

An input velocity adjustment method of the critical double impulse (DI) is presented for efficient design viscous dampers elastic-plastic moment frames. The adjusted so that energy to lowest eigenmode under DI equal those selected recorded ground motions. This makes work as active earthquake. response bounding property supported by, (1) multi-modal DI, (2) usual excitation mode motions, (3) large proportion instantaneous total in DI. proposed can treat not only pulse-like near-fault motions but also random nature.
